We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and hands-on Permanent Production Manager for our Wood Facility in the Manufacturing industryThis position is integral to our company's success, ensuring that our production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and of the highest qualityThe Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, from raw materials to finished products, and will play a key role in driving continuous improvement and process management initiatives
Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Manage a team of supervisors, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth operations across multiple shifts.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Manage production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing overtime and costs.
Monitor and control production costs, implementing cost-saving strategies where possible.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Work closely with other departments, including sales, logistics, and procurement, to ensure a seamless flow of information and materials.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a production leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience managing supervisors and leading a team across multiple shifts.
Extensive knowledge of wood or forest products is essential.
Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement and process management initiatives.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A degree in a relevant field such as manufacturing, engineering, or business management would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations in the manufacturing industry.
